Renee Lundgren, M.S.
Resident in Counseling

I have over 30 years of experience working in the human services field in the Charlottesville community. My experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults from varied backgrounds.  My approach to counseling integrates several therapeutic styles that are all considered person-centered.  Recognizing that each person is unique, building a trusting relationship and listening to specific strengths and struggles, allows for sessions to be tailored to meet individual needs.

Kristan Looney, M.A.
Resident in Counseling

I will partner with you to help you make connections between past experiences, present challenges and what you hope for your future. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to process and express authentic emotion, heal, learn, develop insight, and grow. I work with adolescents and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, difficulty with life decisions and transitions, issues with identity and self-esteem, and relational struggles.

As a former special education teacher, I bring experience working with children with special
needs, families facing challenges, and advocacy. I have worked with students from primary
school through college and have provided mental health services for young adults in a college
counseling center.
